Nestled high above the Tennessee valley, the main bedroom of this modern cabin was designed as a calm escape — a place where soft textures, natural light, and thoughtful details come together to create an effortless sense of rest.

Design Overview

The space combines classic cabin warmth with a fresh, modern sensibility. A pale pine wall and a soaring vaulted ceiling frame sweeping views through a wall of black-trimmed windows. The color palette stays simple: crisp white, honeyed wood tones, and subtle misty blues & greens that tie into the sky beyond the glass.

A mix of textures brings depth — linen bedding layered with cotton throws, woven baskets, and a vintage-style floral quilt that adds just the right amount of color. Built-in nightstands and brass sconces provide both function and charm, while a soft rug underfoot grounds the room in comfort.

A Space to Slow Down

From the bed, guests can watch the sun rise over the rolling hills or settle into the corner chairs with a cup of coffee and uninterrupted views of the valley below. The high ceilings and open loft above make the room feel spacious yet cozy — perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the surrounding trails.

Every element was chosen with purpose: to make this small footprint feel serene, bright, and connected to nature. The design celebrates simple materials and the beauty of light at every hour of the day.
